Lovely new Metroid: Other M official website up
Posted by admin in Technology on February 3rd, 2010
Just like all other game teaser website launches, this new Japanese site for Metroid: Other M gives you tiny in the way of new information. But it’s certainly peaceful to look at, with its pretty sunset and beautiful piano music. Some woman is looking over a city with her hand up.
In the beginning of the Flash animation, roughly tranaslated, the voice says:
Dream — It’s like seeing the playback of a disaster that really happened.
I don’t know if that tells you anything, but it seems really sad. Combined with the sad music, it’s kind of a downer. No worries. I’m still excited about the game, which is now confirmed for a summer release in Japan. I expect we’ll see it later this year here in the US. I can’t wait to see what Tecmo has done.

Next Legend of Zelda on Wii, will be shown at E3

GoNintendo somehow managed to stay awake through Satoru Iwata’s quarterly financial reports briefing, a feat I would probably not have been able to accomplish. Good thing, too, as the President of Nintendo confirmed that the next iteration of Zelda

Here are some absolutely fake images of a new Zelda
Posted by admin in Technology on February 3rd, 2010
Zelda Informer was sent these screens which are purportedly from an upcoming Zelda title
making its way to the Wii. They’re totally fake, as evidenced by the creator later popping up in the Zelda Universe forums and claiming credit for them. Even without that, I had a hard time believing that these pics, unsourced and so forth, had any validity whatsoever.
Still, the prospect of the Roc’s cape (which I contend looks more an alligator clip on a set of jumper cables than clothing in these screenshots — now there’s a useful tool) in a 3D Zelda could be pretty interesting. It would be even superior in a 2D Zelda game. But, then, what isn’t?
The images were made with what appears to be an Oblivion mod and then further shopped to look like they appeared on the ancient tube TV.
More of these (totally not real) pics and the original images which they were made with are in the gallery below.

Do Want: Wii RPG Xenoblade also named Monado
Posted by admin in Technology on February 3rd, 2010
Who cares what it’s called? I still want it.
If you saw our story about Nintendo’s 2010 release schedule, you would have encounter a Japanese listing for Xenoblade. Yep, that Xeno. This is a Wii game that comes from the people at Monolith Soft, the folks that did my beloved Xenosaga.
Xenoblade will be known in the west as Monado: Beginning of the World. Same game. Japan gets their version this spring (import?!). It’s on the North American schedule as TBA.
