Our latest look at Enslaved: Odyssey to the West

Our latest look at Enslaved: Odyssey to the West screenshot

Ninja Theory’s Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is looking like some fun times. You play as a dude who beats up robots with a stick. Give him the stick. DON’T GIVE HIM THE STICK! So yeah, giant sticks. Neat. Jim loved the game a lot when he played it at E3 so that’s good to know.

The footage above is a collection of different scenes where the main character is breaking apart various robots. It got me thinking, why is the core component of a robot in the head? The head is always the easiest part of a robot to destroy. Why not put the AI in the chest? Or somewhere that no one would expect. Like the toe. Do robots have toes?

You’re not my dad. OOOOHHHHH!!!

Knights Contract has an awesome looking boss

Knights Contract has an awesome looking boss screenshot

Knights Contract continues to look more badass each time Namco Bandai releases new media for the game. Seriously, just look at that boss up there. That thing is wicked. It looks exactly like what a Tyrannosaurus Rex and Lord Zedd from the Power Rangers would produce if they had a baby.

So yeah, Knights Contract is looking pretty rad. It’ll be out for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 sometime in 2011. Check out the reveal trailer for more on the game.

Join up with Liara in the next Mass Effect 2 add-on

Join up with Liara in the next Mass Effect 2 add-on screenshot

Did anyone enjoy interacting with Liara in Mass Effect 2? She was likable in the first game, then shifted into something of a b*tch in the sequel. The next expansion for ME2, “Lair of the Shadow Broker,” will have her joining Shepard and co. in battle and promises to explain the dramatic personality change.

The game’s official site has a quick snippet of what to expect. Slight spoilers, I guess:

Two years ago, Commander Shepard died and Liara T’Soni fought in a desperate struggle against the Shadow Broker to recover her former Commander. Now that Shepard is back, it’s time to even the score.

No word on pricing, a date, or any of that good stuff. Knowing how BioWare likes to cycle out this information, we shouldn’t have to wait long for more details.
